LADY IRWIN SCHOOL- THE SCHOOL BUILDINGS
The High School Building, still looks the same as it did decades ago. The signage is gone though! The High School Building still looks the same as anyone in living memory can remember. The Middle School was housed in one of the Army Barracks (also constructed in the British times) on Canning Lane, located right across what was then known as 'Pataudi House'. The Middle school building has since been demolished. The school address always included the line: Canning Lane, Near Curzon Road! Canning Lane is now known as Madhav Rao Scindia Road. Curzon Road is Kasturba Gandhi Marg! The 'new' Middle School is now housed in a building adjacent to the school Gymnasium, which was once the heartbeat of the school. For years the School raised funds for construction of the Middle School Building through what was known as the 'P.T.Show'.
